Mommy and baby boy taking a nap

Well for those of you who don't know. I did a real graceful move on October 6. I used to have really long shoelaces on my tennis shoes. My mom and I took my puppy on a walk, about 2/3 of the way around my right shoe got caught up in my left shoes large bow. Down I went, like a tree, with my left arm directly underneath me. My right arm went out forward with the dog's leash. Both the dog and the right arm came out without harm. I barely even scuffed my knees. The biggest problem was my left arm. Once my mom and I got myself the sidewalk, we started walking the rest of the way home. I had tears streaming down my face by the time we got home, we sat down for a minute. We decided to go to the Urgent Care, they did alot of x-rays which I cried throughout.

When the doctor came back in he said that if I wanted to injure my arm without actually breaking my arm, but has THE most amount of pain ever, I did it. He said that when big, tall, strong men come in with this type of injury, that they are usually swearing and crying. So he wasn't surprised that I cried through the x-rays.

He said I had fractured the head of the distal head of the radius, which is one of the two bones in your forearm. It is fractured right at the elbow. When I saw the ortho doctor two days later he said that the reason why I was hurting up into my thumb, was because I had displaced the two bones in my forearm. He put my arm in a temporary cast for two and a half weeks until the swelling went down some. Then last Thursday they put me into an actual fiberglass cast. Which I wear for another two weeks.

Obviously with this arm I have had alot of pain, so I don't sleep well. So when I get a chance to take a nap, I take it. This past Sunday I went to take a nap on our bed after church. Well our little momma's boy snuck up on the bed and cozied his way in to taking a nap with mommy.

Antique Roadshow in Phoenix!!

Hey there everybody!
Guess what my family did about a week ago? We went to the Antique Roadshow while it was at the Phoenix Convention Center. We entered a drawing for a pair of tickets, well actually my mom, sister-in-law, Bonnie, my sister, Colette in Indy entered (along with a few of her friends) and then asked my brother-in-law, Sean to ask his mom to enter. Well guess what? We won 4 pairs!! and want to know the kicker?? Each pair of tickets were assigned a certain "hour" of time that you were supposed to come. Yep, all 4 sets of tickets which were won by 4 different people both here in Phoenix, and in Indianapolis all had the same time of 3-4 p.m. We had fun, it was an experience. For those of you who may not know all in the picture. (Starting from left) My sister-in-law (Mike's wife) Bonnie, then my younger sister Kristen, the blonde teen is my sister, Kristen's almost 18 year old daughter, Kara, then behind her is Kristen's husband, Sean, then there's me with my mom beside me, my dad behind her and then the good looking guy on the end, my husband.

Our first baby gets her ears pierced for her 13th birthday!

Well, for Lenae's soon to be 13th birthday in a couple of weeks, she got her ears pierced. We went to Claire's last Saturday and she picked some that were gold, because her mommy has allergies to certain earrings. I have to have nickel free earrings myself. We couldn't put in nickel-free for her first set, so we went with pure gold, and so far so good.

Girl's trying on dresses

Our girl's are going to be in a "Fashion Show" at our church. It's going to be a Ladies Tea and Fashion Show and our girls were picked to be in the Fashion Show. We had to go to a local store, a very high end department store and pick a dress for the girls to wear and then our church will pick them up and the girls will wear them on the day of the Fashion Show and then the church will return them back to the store. The first few dresses will be the ones they tried on but didn't pick. The ones they did pick were: Lenae - the yellow one, Marissa - the polka dot one with the pink jacket. They sure did have fun though trying on different dresses.

Our Spring Break vacation

We just came back from a spring break vacation up at the cabin. We enjoyed a nice relaxing 6 days up at the cabin. The girls got a couple of afternoons of riding their quads on a little track that Trent's dad set up on our empty property across the street from our cabin. We watched movies, played games, drove up to Show Low, did some shopping, did alot of nothing, and enjoyed it all. The girl in pink on the quad is Marissa, and the child with the black jacket is Lenae. Can you tell by the smiles on Mom and Dad's faces about how good of a week it was?

Dad & Cameron's birthday in February

Here are some pictures from Dad's and Cameron's birthdays at the end of February.

Our anniversary trip to the cabin

Here are some pictures I took on the way to the cabin in January on the way to the cabin when we went up for our anniversary. Some snow that we Mesa people don't see, but some of my home folk see alot of, don't ya!

Well, here it is a week after the SuperBowl. Our team tried their hardest to win. Still they lost 27-24. We had a great SuperBowl party. The whole Darling family was together minus Dad, who had to work. We had fun though. We're proud of our Cardinals they gave us a great year! Mommy's pinky finger is doing better, it's definitely fractured. So we keep it in a splint that we bought at the local grocery store and keep it wrapped up with tape underneath. The Tuxhorn family has another rental down and still hasn't rented the one from December. If anyone local knows anyone looking for a rental they are both 3 bedrooms, one has 2 bathrooms, the other has just one, but still a great house. Just e-mail me at dtuxhorn@msn.com and I can get you in touch with my mother-in-law. We just came back from being up in the mountains. We went up to our family cabin in Heber for our (2nd) 5th anniversary. We went up on the 30th and came back down on the 1st in time for the SuperBowl party. For those of you who know us well. We didn't quite make it to our 6th last time. We definitely will this time and onto our 50th if we live that long! We are two different people this time around, more grown up and mature and a whole lot more LOVE!!!!!!

Let's pray for a good 4 years. God allowed for us to get President Obama. There is a reason for everything and he has a reason for this time in our lives. Just pray for God's will to be done.

Here's our girls just a couple of days ago
Well on a lighter note, my girls both got great grades on their report cards, almost all A's and B's. Then on Sunday during our church's "shake a hand, hug a neck" time, which is right after the choir number and before the pastors children time. Mommy was out doing her meet and greet and got a little late to get back in the choir loft. She missed the top step by about a half an inch and ended up sprawling across the stage with her face ending up matchig up with the choir wall, yep, I have a small shiner on my left cheek. My worst injury besides my pride, is I broke my left pinky, so I have to type by hunting and pecking.

The new president

Well, where do I start. I'm not a democrat. I never have been. I've been a Republican since birth. My beloved uncle has instilled in me a strong Republican line inside of me. So today watching a Democrat take oath as President makes me extremely sad. I don't know what he has planned for us. I'm scared what he may do over the next 4 years. All I can say is what I have heard from some of the idiot african-americans have said since Obama has been elected and that scares me. All I can say is I have belief in God and he will take care of my family and friends and that is what I can hope in.
